Terms of Service
Last updated: March 16, 202601 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the QRShift website, application, and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and QRShift.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information.
02 Description of Service
QRShift is a web-based platform that provides dynamic QR code creation, URL redirection, and scan analytics. The Service allows you to:
- Generate dynamic QR codes linked to short URLs that you can update at any time without reprinting the physical code.
- Redirect scans instantly to your chosen destination URLs.
- Track and analyze scan data including total scans, unique visitors, geographic distribution by country, device type breakdowns (mobile vs. desktop), and peak scan hours.
- Customize QR code appearance with colors, logos, and styling options.
- Set expiration rules based on scan limits or dates, with automated actions such as pausing, deleting, or swapping destination URLs.
- Download PDF performance reports summarizing your QR code analytics.
QRShift reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
03 User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete.
- Keep your password secure and confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify QRShift immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
You may register using an email address and password, or through a supported third-party sign-in provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your chosen authentication method. QRShift is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain adequate security of your account credentials.
04 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. Specifically, you shall not:
- Create QR codes that redirect to malware, viruses, or any other harmful software.
- Use the Service for phishing, social engineering, or any form of fraudulent activity.
- Link to content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Distribute spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or deceptive advertising through QR codes created with the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to QRShift's systems, servers, or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage or places undue burden on our systems.
QRShift reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in QRShift's sole discretion, violates this section, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities.
05 QR Codes and Redirects
When you create a QR code through QRShift, the Service generates a unique short URL and a corresponding QR code image. When scanned, the QR code directs the scanner's device to QRShift, which then instantly redirects to your specified destination URL.
You understand and agree that:
- QRShift does not guarantee 100% uptime for the redirect service. While we strive for high availability, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues.
- Redirect speed depends on network conditions, server load, and geographic factors outside of QRShift's control.
- You are solely responsible for the content and legality of the destination URLs you configure.
- QRShift reserves the right to disable or remove any QR code or redirect that violates these Terms or poses a risk to users or the platform.
- QR codes that have been deleted cannot be recovered. Soft-deleted QR codes are preserved for a reasonable period but may be permanently removed at QRShift's discretion.
06 Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content, URLs, labels, and logos that you upload or configure through the Service. By using QRShift, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
QRShift and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including but not limited to the website design, software, algorithms, code, visual elements, branding, logos, and documentation. The QRShift name, logo, and all related trademarks are the property of QRShift and may not be used without prior written consent.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any QRShift intellectual property rights to you.
07 Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information and scan analytics data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and consent to the practices described therein.
08 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QRShift and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. QRShift does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
In no event shall QRShift's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service exceed the amount you have paid to QRShift in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.
09 Termination
QRShift reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that:
- You have violated any provision of these Terms.
- Your use of the Service poses a security risk to the platform or other users.
- Your account has been used for fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity.
- Continued provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. QR codes associated with your account will stop redirecting. QRShift is not obligated to retain or provide copies of your data following termination, although we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your QR codes, scan data, and personal information will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10 Changes to Terms
QRShift reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you through the Service interface or via the email address associated with your account.
Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Service and delete your account.
